I found part 1 via penguinz0. Amazing video, so much imagination when into their mission of retrieving the Legos. I'm hoping part 2, which is behind a paywall, will be published soon.

In the crossposted link there are some update videos they put out. In the latest one they said once part 3 is ready they'll upload part 2 on youtube and it should be in the next week or so.
Part 2 is wild though...the police corruption is insane.
I appreciate the info.
Part 2: https://youtu.be/cxZPfj8AlmY
I didn't link it as it's still unlisted and I think having more people support his patreon is worthwhile given the legal battle he's going up against given a $65M revenue corporation.
I also found the unlisted link and watched it there but made up for it by pre-ordering a shirt at westealfromoldpeople.com
I'm all for the collector to recover his Legos but are we sure about the investigative power of "reckless ben" ?
It's probably better than hoping for the justice system to act... But at the same time the main investigator looks like a perpetually high shaggy rogers.
What if he ruins the owner chance to win any lawsuits by his actions ?
People should be careful with vigilantes.
So you didn't watch any of it then.
No, they definitely have a point about Ben's lackadaisical personality at times.
I have watched every video available on the topic including Part 2 and fully support Ben, but I think he creates roadblocks for himself by not taking things seriously. Like when speaking to the Keizer PD and showing them the specific laws being broken by BAM, but while dressed up like a cartoon character. Police didn't take him seriously and treated him like a joke because that's how he was portraying himself, so they considered it nothing more than a trespassing call and told him to leave, ignoring all the true facts he was telling them.
Another example is him literally stating into the camera at the end of Pt 2 that he knew he had another warrant issued against him and that's why he fled the country to Mexico. This is an extremely stupid thing to admit on camera (if true) and can't possibly lead to anything other than additional harm to him and his friends. It may play well for YouTube but it makes him and his case look terrible in the eyes of the people with the power to fix this.
At this point, he needs to be talking to civil rights attorneys but what good will that do when he has a valid charge out there for fleeing? If he gets arrested in Utah with no bail again, what will the judge say when the prosecutor plays the footage of him admitting to a serious crime? The best way to demonstrate how terrible the other side is, is by being above reproach yourself to show the stark contrast between you two.
You're doing the same thing that the asshat in the video does. "Oh, what are you, some kid? That's not how the law works."
It's called an ad hominem fallacy. Regardless of someone's appearance or stature, whether they look like a cartoon character who investigates mysteries (very fitting), that has nothing to do with their intelligence or the substance of their argument.
You then use a whataboutism fallacy claiming "well, what if x y or z happens." Again, this distracts from the substance of the points being made and the evidence collected. We cannot control "what ifs." What if a nearby supermassive black hole emits a quasar that atomizes our entire solar system? That might make it harder for them to win the case.
People have to protect people, as the videos show, corporations will fuck you and weaponize the justice system against you with overwhelming capital and former slave catchers will cover it up.
I don't think there are many bots on here so I can only assume you're a capitalist propagandist or just severely and painfully ignorant.
