You might mean "chifforobe," a type of wardrobe, which appears a number of times in "To Kill a Mockingbird" (spelled "chiffarobe.")

Haha, no way that totally could be it. Especially as I kept thinking it was in The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Funny how memories do be like that
