Info for anyone else who is curious, CORCA basically creates a new division of the DHS for some reason (we know the reason) instead of giving the law enforcement leeway to other agencies that have actual oversight and accountability. This new division is granted sweeping powers to coordinate with private corporations and law enforcement agencies to build profiles from surveillance networks across grocery stores and big box stores etc etc. This is an expansion of the patriot act and creates huge issues for people not wanting to live in a fucking police state

Wasn't retail theft an exaggerated issue because stores would report any product waste as theft to get compensation? I seem to remember something to that affect, probably on either Last Week Tonight or Some More News.

Yes, just like how terrorism was used to normalize all these violations of your liberty 20 years ago, even though your own household furnishings or a toddler with a gun were more likely to kill you than a terrorist.

Doesn't mean it can't or won't be used as an excuse to track you.

Get yourself a ballcap, sunglasses, and a facemask and get used to wearing them. It won't beat all the tracking systems but it will be most.

It was even exaggerated, during COVID Walgreens and Target straight up lied about rampant theft
