If I have tabs open on Firefox for Android and but am actively using another tab or another app, Firefox automatically unloads the unused tabs. How to disable this?

I created and set browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory to false on Firefox Nightly for Android but still didn't work, tabs still unload.

I assume it's a feature to prevent Android's memory management from forcefully killing Firefox... for me the tabs don't unload, but they behave as if the JS running inside them has been frozen/paused.

Maybe installing those tabs as apps via Firefox's menu will bypass this
