If you are reacting like this to a strategic retreat from our comrades in Venezuela, I can't imagine how you will react if you time travelled to the time when Lenin signed the Brest-Litovsk treaty.

As context, Lenin signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk, ceding a vast territory to Germany—one rich in population, mines, oil, and gas. Half the left called him a traitor. But if he hadn’t signed, Germany would have invaded, and the Bolshevik Revolution would have ended right there. Lenin gave up all that to buy time.

(Comrades may correct me if I made some imprecisions)Stalin did the same in 1939 with the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact. He signed with the Nazis and pushed the Soviet border further back. He gained two and a half years to prepare before the German invasion he knew was coming. At the time, many criticized him. History judged him differently.

Will you call Lenin a traitor or worse a German spy as well for his decision? Will you dare say at that time that the Bolsheviks needed to be toppled as you are suggesting to Venezuela?

Very well put 👍 calling for a "revolution" whilst Venezuela is under extreme siege by the most advanced imperialist nation on earth is exactly the goal of the imperialists, regime change.

This is unprincipled and you need to do some reflection about it. People have provided you with detailed perspectives/arguments on the case of Venezuela multiple times over multiple threads. Now you are calling for active instability there based on surface level details.

It's distinguishable from the way the west talks when they advocate for color revolutions, just with an ultra left bent to it; talking like the people need to be saved from themselves, without consulting them on how they feel about anything.

If some tweets are sending you to this place, then maybe lay off the twitter cycle. Trump lies his ass off and everything is a circus performance to him. Don't let the imperialists dictate how you think about the world. Don't let some surface level politicking substitute for an in-depth view of things.

Western leftists need to shut up and focus on their own conditions. Regime change in Venezuela is literally the goal of the US criminal blockade.

Sadly, the debate regarding Venezuela is intense EVEN in Cuban telegram channels. In others words, Westerners aren't the only ones scared regarding Venezuela but even Global South comrades(I have seen Iranian and Cuban comrades in different channels that I am in voicing both sides of the debates). As evidence of this, you can check this post from a Colombian comrade that synthesised both positions regarding this debate: https://xcancel.com/Edisson_hilos/status/2053998295471575292#m

As always, we have to move forward and always fight back against the US funded narrative regarding Venezuela. We will prevail if we avoid falling for the imperialist bait as the Colombian comrade mentioned:

The worst thing we can do is take the CIA's bait. Dividing ourselves, accusing one another, and killing each other among revolutionaries while the enemy watches from above, waiting for us to finish the job for them. It worked in Grenada.

Those who speak out have a right to do so. So do those who defend the cause. But calling a critic a traitor or accusing someone who offers a nuanced view of being a sellout is like handing the enemy what it couldn’t achieve with bombs.

Obviously, we must be very vigilant. Our Venezuelan brothers and sisters must guard against those who take advantage of negotiations with the oppressor to let themselves be swayed. At those negotiating tables, bonds are forged, and those who lack a firm resolve end up confusing the genocidal pedophile with a partner.

Venezuela needs us to stop destroying ourselves and put all our energy into what can save us: maintaining unity, welcoming self-criticism, keeping a cool and analytical head, truly preparing ourselves by correcting what went wrong, organizing, arming ourselves, building real power, and using this “time of submission” without wasting it.

I’m thinking of a mural they painted at the UPTC, here in Bogotá, Colombia, featuring a quote by Camilo Torres:

“Let’s focus on what unites us and set aside what divides us.”

This is a Twitter meme, Qrt means “Quote re-tweet”. You basically just said that a primary concern is Venezuelan Twitter spats.

Why are you lashing out.

Also you post multiple times a day, every day, not to mention dozens of comments. You're throwing rocks from an incredibly fragile glass house if you want to tell someone to get offline.

[–] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I don't post twitter culture memes.

[–] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 6 days ago

Yes. Something that gets posted here a lot.

Vietnam is much worse than Venezuela right now.

[–] ComradeSalad@lemmygrad.ml 3 points 1 week ago

How is the Đổi Mới policy any different from Deng's reforms?

Vietnam is actively pushing through privatization and cooperating with the western empire
