While this community is very low-traffic and I don't want to start blocking willy-nilly, I want to quote the sidebar:

World News for Canadians, with preference for articles that provide Canadian perspectives and sources.

This is https://lemmy/ dot ca /c/WorldNews. The intent was always that this would be about providing a Canadian perspective to the world's happenings. People who are primarily just crossposting sites that have no Canadian connection are invited to do so on other World News communities throughout the Lemmy fediverse. There are very many of them, but AFAIK this is the only "World News For Canadians" community.
