This is a community to engage in musical theory and practice. What exactly does that mean?
To that end, this is simply a space for people of varying backgrounds and education to share music and their thoughts about music. Musical study via the history of music is also encouraged.

No elitism tolerated. The value of music is ultimately determined by how socially necessary it is, i.e. how much people like it and interact with it.
By the same token, no anti-intellectualism tolerated. Like anything in the world, music is something worthy of study that everyone can always learn more about.
No Eurocentricism tolerated. Western (specifically German) music theory and practice being considered inherently superior to the music of other cultures is reactionary.

saw a show with a good buddy, was a great fuckin' show. Got hammered off like 5 gin and tonics because they were 8 dollars versus 16 dollars for a beer. I was dressed in the tri poloski in a crowd of emo kids half my age so when I was moshing all smashed I tapped into my inner Harry Dubois. Was wondering why there was so many youngins' there until I learned that Julie went big on tiktok I guess.
Met the chick from Fleshwater for like two minutes probably because I the only one over 21 in the smoking area w a non-binary fella that liked the tri poloski. Me and my buddy crawled to the bar, ate some korean fire wings and chugged some beer before I passed out. Woke up and felt like I was dying and I was covered in bruises. Great time!
funny enough, I was clocked as a communist by a co-worker for wearing the same suit. co-worker was chill though!
