Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. - No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

“You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.” - Blazing Saddles (1974)
They expect to be bailed out (again).
He's gonna blame them for the high prices and shortages and they will still kiss his ass cos they are in a cult.
I mean, what choice did they even have? Vote for a DEMONcrat? Especially a woman of black and Asian descent?
And, at least in my hometown, the number of family farms has gone to almost zero. It's all corporate farms worked by Guatemalans and Filipinos. Bunkhouses filled to the brim six months a year. And all the locals work at Walmart or are on disability, or move to the city. But this has been the trend for as long as I've been alive.
Racism is a hell of a drug.
“Those leopards have got to run out of faces eventually. I’m sure they’ll be done before they make it to me though.”
If you still have your face, they haven’t run out yet!

awww. poor bubbas reaping what they sow.
geddit?
Common clay of the new west: "hE sAyS wHaT i aM tHiNkInG"
It would be easy to blame Mr Trump for the downturn; after all, he campaigned on promises to bring down prices and revive the heartland. But rural America does not. The president’s favourability rating is higher among rural voters than among any other group in our survey. Most still think he is doing a good job. In interview after interview with The Economist, farmers said they trust the administration—but that they need help to recoup the losses its foreign policy is causing them.
Jiminy Christmas, these muppets.
Many lemmings had been running toward the precipice for a long time. Back when they started others warned them: there's a precipice right ahead! They laughed and called them cowards. But after a long while, it became visible reality: there's a precipice up ahead and we're running right towards it! There were a few who wanted to stop now, but it was too late: neither their neighbors nor those pushing from behind listened to any of that precipice nonsense anymore.
