Ethanol blending ended up being disastrous where it was implemented. It takes tax money and turns farmland into monocultures of low quality corn for ethanol. Where you can spend the same money on solar farms and get much higher overall benefit both to the farmland and to emissions.

MODERATORS
India achieved its target of 20% ethanol blending (E20) in petrol in 2025 and is now looking to increase blending further to reduce costly imports of petroleum products.
Well it's something I guess.
