Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the downvoting itself, but I noticed a lot of people who comments in posts claiming OP is a bot, a lot of their comment activity is mostly just making statements like these and when you look at their voting history, the timestamp of their downvotes is like 5 or more within the same minute, how is that a productive use of voting? And a lot of it isn't restricted to political posts, you can always spot someone who fits in this category when you notice someone posting something non-political with a lot of upvotes but some few odd downvotes and go down to check the voting history of those said downvoters

You'll notice it a lot if you go down to communities less aligned with political discussions, oddly I'd not suspect these people aren't bots but intentionally trying to sabotage the Threadiverse (since the voting system isn't so relevant for someone seeing from elsewhere on the Fediverse)

I'm not against the calling out bot posters, there's a setting for you to set your account as bot, and there's a difference for mods and non-mods trying to look like they are mini-modding
