I hate microsoft!
Thank you for not using AI!
Love me some artisanal code
Haha, welcome ๐ I enjoy writing code and I hate all the unethical (or illegal) stuff that the AI companies do...
This looks great! Awesome name too.
Over the past couple of days I have been looking specifically for a chore tracking solution, so it's impeccable timing to see this pop up.
I really like the idea of there not being specific dates or schedules, but just a time since a chore was last done. I've only just set myself up with Grocy last night but tracking things on a specific date/schedule concerns me because sometimes I simply cannot get it done and think the flexibility in what you've gone for is more accommodating.
One thing I would certainly appreciate are notifications on mobile. This doesn't necessarily mean a mobile app (but also doesn't mean not!), but even something that could hook into, for example, Gotify would be neat.
Thanks for sharing your cool project!
Lol nice coincidence ๐ Hope you will like it! There is still a date though, it's not completely decoupled, but it's more sliding window and I only mark the chores as overdue if missed, but it still sorts neatly which is what you might like ๐ I was thinking making it pwa, which i am not sure if it can send notification. I can check it out for sure because I think it would be useful. I don't really know gotify, been using ntfy (selfhosted), so i gotta look into it and maybe what they have in common to do something more universal.
Thanks, your explanation on the date is what I meant but poorly expressed.
I didn't mean gotify specifically either, just some way of getting notifications out of it would be great. Anyone like me needs them because I am not diligent enough to sign into a dashboard to pro actively check.
Keep up the awesome work, I'll be keeping my eye on this for sure.
Big fan of this! What a great idea. Got it deployed now, I think it'll become a super helpful tool for me. Thanks!!
Looks cool, although all of the examples are things I'd just do quickly once I notice it needs doing and I believe planning those might increase the work load.
But I can see a use-case for other tasks, those that I tend to forget. Might give it a try. :)
Thanks! Yeah I agree that a lots of people have no problem. The idea is more towards coordination with family especially kids that do not notice or do not want to notice ๐ This way they have easy time to pick and I have time for programming ๐
