I tried it just to see. The general body position is surprisingly not too bad but the pain in the neck you instantly get is unbearable.
And a foot out of the blankets? Just plain no. That's how the monsters get you. Same for the butt, but I recognize that some might be into this sort of thing.
Not even slightly comfy xD without the pinned limbs and head turned to the right it'd be fine... which is just a normal side sleep position.

The exposed butt and foot are not comfy and OP is right, I hate it. But the position is nice. And double fans is novel.
It's 3 fans actually. I can already feel the dry mouth and nose from having 2 fans pointed at my face all night. That's just overkill when you have the AC unit right next to you.
But I will defend the exposed foot... that is critical for temp regulation in all but the coldest weather!
I'm a "bury everything under covers except the face" and have a fan blowing on me to regulate the temp
I keep trying to do this, and the outside temperature laughs at me as I scramble from my den, soaked in sweat.
Exact opposite for me, feet and butt out of blanket is cool but wtf kind of torture is this position
