Up to you.

There are two special cases though:

If you add one with a label 'Pronouns', that is displayed next to your name.

If you add one with a label 'Mastodon' and a url to your Mastodon profile, that can be used to verify that you control both profiles. https://aottr.dev/posts/2024/08/have-your-links-verified-on-mastodon/

You could upload a banner picture which will take up the space at the top. See my profile for an example.

Other than that, there's not much fun to be had with profiles, PieFed is pretty minimal in that way.

That's normal, this a limitation to prevent spam. Once your account reach few days, you will be able to send message :)

I dunno. Whatever you want. Your website, link to your profile on other social medias, a description of yourself, a cookie recipe, name of your pet hamster, some of your interests, your favorite book, movie, music.
