MVG recently made a video on them. Apparently they're developing at break neck speed, and their game compatibility list keeps getting greener by the day. Still a lot to improve, but it's definitely going places.

Given the state of RPCS3, I'm not terribly optimistic about this one.

You should be. PS3 was based on a super exotic custom PowerPC chip. That's the source of a lot of the issues.

PS4 was based on a much more standard x86 processor (but with some custom elements).
