Yeah this article is full of shit, because there is no consistent gender pattern. Its just weird antisocial people that want to feel superior or powerful.

While the action was wrong, people shouldn't stand and take pictures in the middle of the busiest crossing in Japan. This crossing alternates between vehicles and pedestrians, each with a specific number of seconds for their turn. Put your camera down. Enjoy the scene while walking across. Move on.

I would not shove a little girl, but I would any adult idiot walking backwards in a crowd, completely unaware of their surroundings, just so they can take a photo for their socials.
