A community for discussing works of fiction where the characters think and act rationally (i.e. for good reasons) according to their understanding of their situation, rather than their actions feeling forced by the author to forward the plot. Inspired by r/rational and r/hpmor.

Schlock Mercenary is one of the classics, and if you haven't read it yet I highly recommend checking it out!

I wouldn't necessarily describe all the characters as rational XD ...but the science-y ones typically are. Also it explores a lot of neat ideas that I still find myself thinking about regularly. If you like sci fi, I think you'll enjoy this one.

One of the first web comics I got into, funny and creative and occasionally extremely dramatic.

I also still think about them from time to time. Some of the storylines really hit me.

They were worrying about AI before Bezos and Musk were rich.

If you know of anything similar, please make a post! I can always use more reading material XD
