🇮🇷🇺🇸| Iran’s FM, Araghchi, in reaction to CENTCOM publishing HIMARS systems in an Arab country:

“Thank you CENTCOM for admitting that you are using our neighbors' territory to deploy HIMARS systems against our people, apparently including a desalination plant.

Nobody should complain if our powerful missiles destroy these systems wherever they are in retribution.”

Interesting decision from a US puppet:

In a global context marked by extreme instability in energy markets, the Philippine government has taken a radical step to protect its economy: switching to a four-day workweek. This decision aims directly to reduce national fuel consumption and mitigate the impact of rising oil prices on workers, according to BRUT.

🇮🇷| Iran’s IRGC spokesman reacts to Trump’s claims about the condition of Iran’s armed forces and his claims about the end of Iran’s power:

“Trump is trying to put psychological pressure on Iran through lies and deception. But Iran is standing courageously and with strong resolve against US and Israeli aggression.

We are continuing the war with full strength, and it is Iran, who will determine when the war ends. Iran’s armed forces are ready to protect the oil and security of the region.

Trump started the war by lying to the American people, but now Iran’s responses have left him in a state of confusion and helplessness.

Iran’s armed forces are awaiting the US naval fleet in the Strait of Hormuz and the aircraft carrier Gerald Ford.

The end of the war is in Iran’s hands.

Last night, the US/Israel bombed an Iranian civilian bank (Sepah) on Haghani Highway, Tehran

The attack killed several bank employees who were working extra shift hours to prepare people’s salaries.

In response, Iran’s Armed Forces have warned everyone in the region to stay 1km away from US/Israeli-affiliated banks, as it will be among its targets now.

This is according to the statements released by Iran’s armed forces.

https://t.me/FotrosResistancee/19722

Hopefully Iran does follow though with unmistakable force.

Russia is there being attacked more and more directly by the west where it hurts because they loudly proclaim they'll retaliate against such escalations and never do, while Iran has counterattacked against similarly hit targets within hours.

🇮🇷🇺🇸| Senior Iranian military source:

Trump’s claims that the war is nearing an end are a political illusion with no basis on the ground.

Iran has categorically rejected all proposals for a ceasefire and says it will continue the war until its stated objectives are achieved.

Any US attempt to occupy Iranian islands will face a severe and unexpected response, with consequences extending to countries hosting US military bases in the region.

Now is the question to ask, what does Iran expect out of this. At this point, I believe they are looking for nothing short of complete US withdrawal from the Gulf.

It is also possible that they will start charging for passage through the Strait of Hormuz after this - it's currently free to navigate.

Regardless, the most telling sign is that they are explicitly saying they are refusing to negotiate. At this moment, Iran is setting the pace and the US can only follow.

It's a risky move normally, but Iran is protected by the Zagros mountains to the west, and their rocketry tech against incursions. They may or may not have started to mine the Strait, it's not clear yet, but I saw a video of how they do it: it's just more missiles.

An invasion + subsequent occupation of Iran would require something like 1 million boots on the ground at the very least. We are looking at a nation that is a peer or near-peer adversary, not a paramilitary group. On top of which, the population is now even more united behind the islamic revolution. Completely unfathomable to send that many troops even with a draft, and that's just for a blitz-type occupation (go in, decapitate government, install puppet like Iraq). Iran controls its territory and the population would be hostile to soldiers at every turn. A more realistic number is 2 million soldiers on the ground to more fully occupy the territory. If they can even get through the Zagros Mountains or navigate the Strait.

What Iran is lacking is a navy and air force but their rocketry more than makes up for it. We saw the refueling airplane that was taken down over Iraq.

Likewise both the Gerald Ford and Abraham Lincoln, the two biggest aircraft carriers, turned tail and ran as soon as IRGC missiles showed up on their radar. They report no damage but it doesn't even matter - a salvo of four missiles, likely to test response, managed to get them to fuck off and out of range.

The Brent futures index is essentially a piece of paper that says "you have a proof of purchase for crude oil at this price". You don't actually get it delivered (that would be very difficult), it's a future. Unless you don't sell for a while, then yes they will deliver. This is how the Brent briefly went under 0$ during the COVID lockdowns: without buyers, people were going to get the oil delivered which is a very bad idea, and they needed to offload it any way they could.

The highest the index has been, adjusted for inflation, was in 1980 at 157$ per barrel. In the US, inflation reached 13.5% in 1980. The shock was caused by the Islamic Revolution and the subsequent Iraqi invasion. US unemployment peaked at 10.8% in 1982. The central bank sharply raised interest rates - the modern mechanism to control inflation - higher central interest rates = banks raise their interest rates as well = people and businesses borrow less = banks generate less new money (yes that's really how new money is created nowadays). But it also means fewer investments, fewer job creations (that was a thing that still happened in the 80s), etc. People were barred from driving on certain days or for non-essential reasons.

It was bad, basically. The US Bourgeoisie would indeed be fools to want another oil crisis... except fossil fuel majors and banks, of course, who made a lot of money on the crisis in the past. But everyone else would rather the barrel go back down to a more reasonable price.

As things continue, expect the oil barrel to jump up to 150$, maybe even more. It is at around 100$ currently, spurred by empty promises from Trump to try and contain it. He said US ships would start escorting tankers through the Strait, then the Navy said "what are you talking about we literally can't do that". Doesn't matter, price went down briefly. You can follow the price here: https://www.investing.com/commodities/brent-oil (pick the 1D graph). The markets are closed on the weekend so we'll have to see what it opens at on Monday.

But it's only been ~~a decade~~ two weeks, give it more time. Expect Iran to make more announcements over time - they probably have them all planned out already on a schedule. Recently, they said that any country that kicks out US bases and embassies would be allowed to cross the Strait again. Their tactics are rocketry and taking out intel capabilities, but the strategy seems to be to try and cause an oil crisis. At that stage, other countries will jump in and likely tell the US to just cut their losses and abandon the Gulf.

Iran is continuing to strike at "Israel", though with the media censorship in the entity you wouldn't necessarily know it, but it is unclear to me what exactly they are trying to achieve there. They are striking "Israel" plenty, and vary their targets from what little information filters out, but Iran also hasn't really announced any goals in regards to the entity. Time will tell I suppose.

Now, remember three things:

  • we are more intelligent together than individually,
  • nobody is ever an expert,
  • don't hang onto someone else's words, because they will change their mind in the future while you will still be hanging onto what they said months or years ago, and then you will look like a fool.

Also time to revive the !zhukovacademy@lemmygrad.ml for military theory, Marshal Zhukov is waiting for new pupils 🫡

From Sony Thang:

Trump is what happens when an empire becomes too decadent to produce statesmen and too delusional to admit it has produced a salesman instead.

He sells endings to stories he helped write in blood.

He sells peace as a premium add-on to wars he escalated.

He sells his own reckless destruction back to his audience as evidence of mastery.

And because his base confuses humiliation with authenticity, they eat it up.

He is not above them.

He is their reflection.

The loud, orange, boastful face of a culture that thinks not finishing the crime counts as virtue.

The war exposed the collapse of American protection. From Patricia Marins

In less than one hour after being hit by the US and Israel, Iran responded with surgical precision, striking 17 American installations across the Middle East.

Complete post:

spoiler

Successive waves of missiles and drones forced US troops to abandon their bases and scramble for shelter in luxury hotels, which, ironically, quickly became targets themselves.

It has now been 12 straight days of continuous bombardment, with multiple waves every single day and no sign of fatigue.

The strikes are not limited to the bases: they are hammering roads, airports, ports, hotels, and power plants.

Evacuation orders exist on paper, but they are being carried out at a snail’s pace, because security is nonexistent and far too many troops are still trapped under fire.

Almost no one remains at the American bases anymore. Even the refueling aircraft that operated out of Saudi Arabia have been pulled out and relocated to Germany.

The message to the Gulf countries is crystal clear: the US cannot even protect its own bases. You’re on your own.

The sense of invincibility that lasted for decades has been shattered.

Critical radars destroyed, interceptors running on fumes, bases bombed, Iranian missiles still launching, the Strait of Hormuz still closed, and Gulf allies left completely exposed.

All of this is being watched in real time by Asian countries that, until yesterday, were betting everything on American power to contain China.

The red light is flashing bright.
If the US couldn’t defend the Gulf against Iran… what real chance do they have of protecting anyone against Beijing?

Up until February 28, American protection felt absolute. Today it feels like something else entirely.

The collapse of that decades-long myth of absolute security is the deepest and most lasting indirect effect of this war.

The blockade of Hormuz may break the West. But it won’t break China. By amarynth

Brief teaser:

Let’s cut to the chase: BRICS is in deep coma. Blown up, at least temporarily, by India – which happens to host the BRICS summit later this year. Talk about horrendous timing.

India has betrayed, sequentially, both full BRICS members Russia and Iran. By sealing its alignment with the Epstein Syndicate, New Delhi has proved, without the shadow of a doubt, not only that it’s untrustworthy: more than that, its whole lofty rhetoric of “leading the Global South” has collapsed – for good.

BRICS will have to be completely revamped: even Grandmaster Sergey Lavrov will have to reach this inescapable conclusion. The original Primakov triangle, “RIC”, once again dies another day. Even if India is not expelled from BRICS – it could be suspended – “RIC” will necessarily have to be translated as Russia-Iran-China, or even “RIIC” (Russia-Iran-Indonesia-China).

When it comes to where we stand on the Grand Chessboard, Prof. Michael Hudson synthesizes it: “The great enabling fiction is gone. America is not protecting the world from attack by Russia, China and Iran. Its long-term aim of controlling the world oil trade requires ongoing terrorism and permanent war in the Middle East.”

spoiler

Whatever happens next, ongoing terrorism across West Asia will remain – as in the Epstein Syndicate, out of pervert impotence and sheer rage, unleashing a Black Rain over the civilian (italics mine) population of Tehran because Iranians refused to go for regime change.

Moreover, the heart of the matter until at least the mid-century is more crystal clear than ever. Either the Exceptionalist system of international chaos prevails. Or it will be replaced by Global South-driven equality, with China leading from behind.

This is a two-part analysis on key BRICS interplay related to the war on Iran. Here we focus on China. Next we will focus on Russia and India.

Don’t shoot! I’m Chinese owned!

Clueless MICIMATT (military-industrial-congressional-intelligence-media-academia-think tank complex) speculation about US intel “suggesting” China is preparing to help Iran is, once again, evidence of how Chinese sophistication total evades the puny “analyses” emanating from Barbaria.

First of all: energy. China and Iran follow a $400 billion, mutually beneficial 25-year agreement that essentially interlocks energy and infrastructure investment.

For all practical purposes, the Strait of Hormuz is blocked because of panicky Western insurance withdrawal. Not because Tehran blocked it.

China receives 90% of total Iran crude oil exports; that represents 12% of total Chinese imports. The key point is that China still has access to Iranian exports as well as Saudi, Emirati, Kuwaiti, Qatari and Iraqi exports: that’s because the strategic partnership Tehran-Beijing is iron-clad, meaning that Chinese-bound tankers can cross the Strait of Hormuz back and forth.

Beijing-Tehran negotiated a bilateral safe passage, operational since last Friday, in what for all practical purposes is a multilaterally-closed crucial maritime corridor. It’s no wonder that more and more tankers are now texting on their transponders the magic words Chinese Owned (italics mine). That’s their naval diplomatic passport.

Translation – and that’s a mega-game-changer: the end of the thalassocratic hegemony of the Empire of Chaos.

“Freedom of navigation” in selected maritime connectivity corridors now means “a deal with China”. Chinese owned, OK; but not European, Japanese or even South Korean.

What Tehran gets, in spades,is high-tech Chinese help for the war with the Epstein Syndicate. And that started even before the war.

The Chinese intel gathering Liaowang-1, a next generation SIGINT (signals intelligence) and space tracking vessel, for weeks has been navigating near the coast of Oman, providing Iran with real-time electromagnetic intel on the Epstein Syndicate’s naval and aerial movements.

That accounts to an enormous degree for the pinpoint accuracy of most Iranian strikes.

The Liaowang-1, escorted by Type 055 and Type 052D destroyers, carries at least five radar domes and high-gain antennas, accurately tracking at least 1,200 air and missile targets simultaneously using deep neural network algorithms. The range of its sensors is roughly 6,000 kilometers.

The beauty is that those sensors can equally track a Chinese satellite or an American carrier.

Translation: China is helping its strategic partner without firing a single shot, just by sailing a neural network processing surveillance platform in international waters.

So yes: China is recording the war, live, 24/7.

Complementing the Liaowang-1, over 300 Jilin-1 satellites record literally everything, constituting a massive ISR database of the Empire of Chaos in action.

There won’t be any official confirmation either from Tehran or Beijing. But Chinese real-life intel, relayed on Beidou, was certainly crucial for Tehran to totally destroy the US 5th Fleet infrastructure in Bahrain – a comprehensive radar, intel and database center and the backbone of US hegemony in West Asia.

This chapter of the war, tackled right at the beginning, reveals how Tehran went to the jugular when it comes to smashing the imperially designed power play of controlling strategic chokepoints and energy transit, thus denying Chinese access to them.

As stunning as it sounds, what we are watching, in real time, is Iran denying key maritime chokepoints, ports and naval connectivity corridors to the Empire of Chaos. For the moment, that’s Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz. Soon it may be, with the help of the Yemeni Houthis, also the Bab-al-Mandeb.

Now that’s a max game-changer profiting not only China but also Russia – which needs to keep its maritime export routes open.

Got money, go East

Now let’s follow the money. China holds $760 billion in US Treasury bonds. Beijing has ordered its whole banking system to sell their Treasures like there’s no tomorrow, and simultaneously hoard gold.

China and Iran already trade in yuan. From now on, the BRICS lab experimenting with alternative payment systems must reach escape velocity. That involves all mechanisms being tested – from BRICS Pay to The Unit.

Then there’s the incoming money exodus. Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Kuwait are already “reviewing” every deal – dodgy or otherwise – they have struck with Washington. Collectively, they control no less than $2 trillion in US investments: Treasury bonds, Silicon Valley tech stakes, real estate, the works.

A tsunami of cash is beginning to invade East Asia. The favorite destination, as it stands, is Thailand – not Hong Kong. That will come – and once again, it will immensely profit China as Hong Kong is one of the key nodes of the Greater Bay Area, alongside Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

China’s strategic and commercial crude reserves are enough for up to 4 months. Apart from that, imports of crude and natural gas can be increased, by sea and by pipelines, from Russia, Kazakhstan and Myanmar.

So a mix of enough strategic reserves; several supply sources; and “demand-side shift from oil to electricity” qualify once again as Chinese resilience. The blockade of Hormuz may break the West. But it won’t break China.

The US has confirmed that Iran has installed naval mines in the Strait of Hormuz. According to The Wall Street Journal, on Wednesday, US officials stated that approximately ten mines were installed in the narrow waterway, through which about 20% of the world's oil exports pass.

Iran has naval mines in its arsenal that can operate at very shallow depths - floating just 90 centimeters underwater, anchoring themselves on the seabed at depths of up to 50 meters, and detonating upon contact with a passing ship. The power of the warhead of most of them ranges from 50 to 120 kg of explosives.

As a rule, such mines are installed with the help of divers on small boats, often disguised as fishing vessels, which makes operations to detect and destroy them extremely difficult.

The main goal here is not so much to sink ships as to disrupt global shipping after a couple of destroyed tankers or gas carriers. Even the mere threat of mines can already stop the movement of tankers through the strait.

Historically, naval mines have caused more damage to US Navy ships than any other weapon since the Second World War. This is their paradox: one of the cheapest means of armament can cause some of the most costly consequences for global trade and military logistics.

The interception rate of Iranian missiles by the American Patriot air defense system is "SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER THAN 4–5%".

Professor Theodore A. Postol claims that the public is being deceived about the real figures.

For those who don't particularly follow modern conflicts, Postol is a "myth buster" from the world of the military-industrial complex. He became famous for methodically questioning official Pentagon and intelligence reports. For a while, he worked as a scientific consultant to the US Chief of Naval Operations and in the Congressional Technology Assessment Office and knows something about the "inner workings" of strikes.

In particular, he argues that the Patriot air defense radar often mistakenly takes the body of a separated booster stage of a missile for the warhead itself.

How does this work?

The Patriot anti-missile hits the "empty" part of the missile. In the computer logs, this is recorded as an "interception" (the radar sees a collision), but in reality, the warhead continues to fall by inertia and explodes on the ground. Postol calls this a "successful miss".

Postol also believes that new Iranian missiles eject light inflatable simulators with a metallized coating along with the warhead.

For the Patriot radar, these balls look exactly like a warhead. During a salvo of 10 missiles, the system sees 50 targets. Even if the Patriot shoots down 40 of them, these could be 40 dummies, while all 10 real warheads will reach their target.

🇸🇦🤝🇺🇸🤝🇮🇱 Fact: What has exposed Saud regime for their secret approval of an US-Israeli on Iran is the "Ghost of Kuwait" incident.

Before that, US planes deployed in Saudi Arabia & operating in the area were flying with transponders switched off (hidden from public).

So we knew they were deployed there (confirmed presence by satelite imagery and ads-b data) but couldn't track them in real time.

Following the downing of 3 x F-15E in Kuwait, they started flying with transponders on to avoid repeating such incidents.

And then the US planes participating in the war started popping (on flightradar24) over Saudi Arabia, leaving the Saudi regime exposed.

All the data I share can be checked on flightradar24, & satellite imagery provided by Mizarvision can be also confirmed via free Sentinel-2 imagery for those who cant access it.

🎥 BBC reporter in Tel Aviv: Israel is semi-shutdown and the streets are empty out of fear of Iranian attacks; shops are closed and this situation has become unbearable for the people.

Kasra Naji: 🔺Even the large Hezbollah missiles hit Tel Aviv without the warning sirens being activated, and this is unprecedented.

❗️ Updates on Lebanon:

  • Lebanese Gov announced its ready to talk with Israel directly under any format outside Lebanon

  • Lebanon's PM and President are furious about the Lebanese army statement about the countering of the Israeli raid in Nabi Cheet in the presence of "local armed support"

  • Lebanese state, while hesitant to replace the army commander", is already discussing other names

  • France's Macron called Netanyahu about Lebanon. Israel didn't say what it intends to do nor showed any promises. They are busy in Iran and only inflicting damage on Lebanon so far.

  • Almost ALL Lebanese political parties are rallying against Hezbullah.

  • PM Nawaf will meet the commander of the Lebanese army soon, to implement the decree to outlaw Hezbullah's military and security apparatus.

Nawaf is expected to rebuke Haykel over the army's statement and actions

🇮🇷🇮🇱| Another missile made an impact in Zarzir. According to Israeli channels, the impact caused for 15 injuries.

❗️Israeli emergency services report multiple injuries in the Palestinian village of Zarzir in the Galilee following an Iranian missile barrage.

All reported impacts on strategic or military sites remain under strict Israeli military censorship, with details rarely released to the public.

🇺🇸🇮🇷| US Senator Chris Murphy: Trump has lost control of the US-Iran war

Based on closed-door briefings, the senator says:

• Trump believed Iran would not close the Strait of Hormuz → he was wrong.

Oil prices are spiking; if the Strait stays closed → global recession (possibly already too late).

• Plan to open the Strait does not exist.

• US can’t combat Iran’s navy tools (thousands of small drones, speed boats, mines).

• Naval escorts for tankers are theoretically possible but impractical: Would require entire US Navy (≈100 tankers/day need escort).

• US can’t combat Iran’s drone war.

• Persian Gulf countries are running out of interceptors.

• Trump has no endgame/ no off-ramp.

🇪🇺 No European country is prepared to send naval forces to escort ships through the Strait of Hormuz, the Financial Times reports citing sources.

European governments fear their warships could become targets for Iranian attacks, risking a serious escalation. One source said naval deployments would only be considered if the security situation were “acceptable.”

❗️🇮🇷🇸🇦| Iran’s IRGC says, in a statement, that Saudi Arabia has announced that Riyadh and the Eastern Province were attacked by 10 drones, and that the drones were destroyed.

However, the IRGC says this attack has no connection to Iran, and the Saudi government should determine the origin of the attacks.

According to an informed source to Fars, the origin of the drone attacks on Riyadh and Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia is the UAE.

🔴America hid its air defense behind the oil reservoirs of the regional countries!

The responsibility for future incidents lies with Trump!

"Dr. Morandi," political analyst:
🔹 I have been informed that the Trump regime has deployed some of its launchers and air defense systems near the oil reservoirs of the regional countries and fires from those locations.

🔹 If bigger incidents occur during attacks on these centers, the blame lies with Trump and the regimes that allowed them to be present and fire from their soil.

🇮🇷🇺🇸🇦🇪| HOLY… new satellite images from the US Al Dhafa base in the UAE show:

A super heavy impact of the Iranian Khorramshahr-4 ballistic missile warhead impacting the accommodation area of American officers, which has created a hole at least 10 meters in diameter.

It literally destroyed EVERYTHING it hit.

Surely there were many casualties here that are being censored.

This is the first documented impact of this missile on a US base.
