A very troubling revelation for International Women's Day.

But boomers are the real problem, right folks?

The fact that so many people keep clinging onto the delusion that the younger generations are going to save us all is absolutely startling. They're going to be so surprised when they end up in concentration camps once more gen Z'ers start getting in power

Gen-X here. IMHO, Boomers have been the worst generation, in terms of values and impact, this country has ever seen. Gen-X is a mixed bag. Millenials are the best of all the gens currently alive, and they got fucked the hardest. Gen-Z is cynical as fuck, and I cannot blame them.

I disagree with your assessment of the future though. The only thing manosphere Gen-Z is accomplishing is their own marginalization. Men are outnumbered. Straight men, even more so. My faith lies with young women, minorities, LGBTQ+, and all those working hard for the survival of those they care about.

apparently there is still a non-insignificant amount of silent generation in congress right now, they are also to blame.

woah, don't forget the lingering, fetid, pinworm infested wet fart that are the Millenials, they deserve an equal, if not greater helping of scorn

what if one day we just make a decision, not hate eachother like this, and instead focus on solutions to improve things for everyone.

☮️✌️peace out maaaan, flower power

that kind of toothless liberal fairy tale wank is how we ended up with multiple generations of sexist trash

23k people in 29 countries.

Per country, that's not even as many people as in the small town where my parents lived in the middle of nowhere, and in total, that's not even a fifth of the population of the city I now live in, which isn't that big either.

With the same proportion, I'm sure one could say 30% of gen z is far-right.

Article does not link the study. Article also does not indicate what % of women have the same views.

it never left, it became more aggressive with manosphere being adopted wildy and perpetrated by grifters. it coincides with the rise of anti-lgbtq+ too.

It merely went into dormancy while it metastasized. Society hates women, and always has

[–] Maeve@kbin.earth 5 points 4 days ago (1 children)

~~Society~~ Patriarchy hates women (and everyone conveniently not them, and always has

[–] isVeryLoud@lemmy.ca 3 points 3 days ago

Oh you'd be surprised how many women suffer from internalized misogyny, I think it's fair to say society as a whole hates women.

See: US politics, and women who vote against their own interests

Interesting Spain is a significant outlier in this one

Looks like we're back to smacking rude people upside the head too, then!
