Only if the cars were badly injured.
only logical explanation is that intersection hated that couple.
they had beef.
An enemy experienced in crossing paths will always find you
This has all the makings of an old Japanese film. It could be like a story of a ninja clan killing a babys parents, and then the baby grows up, trains in martial arts, and 30 years later infiltrates the largest ninja clan in Japan to kill them all.
Except in this version, the baby grows up learning to drive safely, and then kills some big whigs at city hall 30 years later.
Ugh, just reminds me of so many awful 2 way stops that should be 4 way stops in my area.
Driving around is so random on whether it's a 4 way stop, you stop but other road doesn't, or you go but other road stops.
I live right next to one of the worst ones. Have witnessed literally 4 accidents at it, and almost had a car hit me while walking once. Just blew through the stop sign that's not very visible when cars are parked there.
Worst part. This whole area is hilly and filled with cars parked on the road. So, if you DO stop on the 2 way stop, you have to inch forward to see, and hope a massive SUV doesn't come speeding down the hill when you inch long enough to see if it's safe.
All of this solved by, say it with me, CONSISTENCY. Make everything a 4 way stop. There is nowhere near enough traffic to justify anything else.
I just don't understand who decides this shit. Recently they decided to add some traffic "circles". Not roundabouts. Just a little circle in the middle of the old intersection.
Cars don't slow at all with them though. Our roads are far too wide. Bonus, now they can't see pedestrians crossing because puting large bushes in the middle of them was apparently a good idea.
It blows my mind that he didn't sell the car and move to a walkable city
