They bet big on crypto and it hasn't paid off for years. They continued hiring. Their stock has been flat or lowering for the past five years. They continued hiring.
This is definitely senior goons at Block engaging in some opportunistic PR.
If they didn’t have AI to blame, they’d call this a pivot (and the subtext would be they’re running out of funding). It’s not about AI.
Fucking asshole. We really do need to change the way we run businesses. Mainly by removing all billionaires.
This is literally any business. My CEO is not even a millionaire but we had to cut staff. It’s about shit leadership.
