Has anyone seen an option or a mail adress to report music on qobuz? Just because I was interested and Spotify is notoriously bad at that, I looked up a few German far right bands up on Qobuz. Well, "Die Lunikoff-Verschwรถrung" is available for stream. The albums you can stream are not the banned ones, but why do they even have it in the first place? That is the most vile neo-Nazi music you could think of.

Made the switch to Qobuz over a year ago and I'm never going back to Spotify.

Everything about Qobuz is far superior.

Almost. Library has gaps, but itโ€™s rapidly improving.

Not a Qobuz user, but this was one big reason I left Tidal. Really took the joy out of the service.

Does that include autotune? ๐Ÿ˜

[โ€“] apotheotic@beehaw.org 5 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

No it doesn't include a normal processing plugin which has been used on 90% of your favourite music

[โ€“] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I highly doubt those 90% of MY favourite music, but...

If it is a studio recording of music with vocals since 1980-90, I would put money on there being some correction on the vocals. If it is a studio recording of music with vocals since 2000, i would put money on there being some use of autotune or melodyne or a similar pitch correction software/hardware.

My top3 Genres are opera, black metal and new age, so.... ๐Ÿ˜

Of course there are some level of vocal corrections in many songs. But as long as it's not plain obvious and improves the song, why not. But making it sound like no human could...that's so useless IMHO.

I wish this fucking Cher Song would have never happend. I hate autotune with a passion, especially when it's at 100% and sounds like a drunk robot.

[โ€“] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 1 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Though my downvotes suggest that people like it :)

[โ€“] dynamoMaus@feddit.org 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

I did not downvote but actually do "like autotune". It is a way to play with the voice in a way the voice never would or should. Why not?!

[โ€“] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 1 points 5 hours ago

Well, AI does that too, does it not? It's just another tool that helps making music.

[โ€“] Daredoedel@feddit.org 3 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Taste ist different for everyone, but: why have a singer if you fuck up his voice into something that is not recognisable as a human beeing anymore? Could just use a Keyboard with those effects.

[โ€“] Dyskolos@lemmy.zip 2 points 5 hours ago

Yup, why even sing in the first place. Let AI do it. Maybe if it's used so you don't really notice but made the song better overall. But I couldn't name an example.
