With the removal of harbinger, there will also be a sharp drop in availability of annulment orbs in the economy. The patch notes says that they increased the drop rate of regal orbs and exalted orbs. Then there is the removal of chaos orb spenders such as map device craft and t17 rolling. This is pointing to a big game economy shake up.

In the previous league 3.27, divine orbs had an exchange value of around 150 chaos, exalted orbs had an exchange ratio of 15 chaos (or 10 exalted to 1 divine), and annulment orbs had a value of around 2 chaos or (70-80 annulment to 1 divine). I feel like this exchange ratio has remained steady for at least 2-3 leagues now.

With the changes the orb supply and demand, I'm guessing the exchange ratio will be something like 1 divine for 250-300 chaos, 1 divine for 10-20 annulment, 1 divine for 30-40 exalted.

The function of the chaos is nearly identical to combining the functions of the scour orb and alchemy orb. A chaos orb changes all of the explicit modifiers on a rare item, giving the item 4-6 new modifiers. Scour orb removes all modifiers on an item (making it normal) and then alchemy orb changes a normal item into a rare item with 4-6 modifiers. Chaos orbs have the added functionality of being used for crafting bench and previously were also used as spenders for map device craft and also T17 maps explicitly said they could only be modified with chaos orbs.

Without the extra functionality of the chaos orb, the value of the chaos orb will equalize to the value of the scour orb, which had been typically priced at 0.5 to 0.6 chaos. This indicates that the value of chaos orbs will halve in the early league and probably be much worse in the mid-late league.

Ancient orbs are now acquired in an entirely new way and it's impossible to say the new value. Blessed orbs have been improved to now function in a similar way to horizon orbs, horizon orbs have been removed.

The significance or chaos value is that novice or casual players typically make trades in chaos, while experienced players do trading in divine orbs. Very advanced players will invest early in deflating assets such as hinekora's locks, mirror shards, heist jewelry, or other scarce items. The severe inflation of chaos orbs could deal a shock to new players.

With the huge nerfs to int stacking and ES stacking, it looks like str stackers will be king.

There's likely going to be economy problems with the lack of a chaos orb sink. In previous leagues, you needed many chaos orbs to roll t17 maps and for map device 'craft'. Both of these mechanics have been removed. A mass excess of chaos orbs will occur unless they secretly reduced chaos orb drops.
