I enjoyed reading the paper version when I was a kid. I can't imagine watching TV to figure out what to watch on TV. ๐

It was too slow - by the time you got the full schedule you'd missed a significant part of the show you chose. The print version was where it was at.
True but you could plan out the next scheduled show.
And I thought the TV guide channel was created shortly before the TV guides went out of print as people weren't buying them at the same rate as before.
TV Guide Channel was launched in 1999, however it was a rebranding of the Prevue Channel which was really the same thing. (And also a rebranding of the Electronic Program Guide network which started in 1981)

I seem to remember flipping over to it during commercial breaks to try and plan out the next hour of viewing for just this reason.
Yeah but sometimes you didn't have the updated one for some reason (or you were cozy in bed and the thing was in the living room...)

Does anyone remember New York from Flavor of Love? Was she faking that obsessive love for Flavor Flav? Was she mentally ill? There's no way he was genuinely interested in her. I'd bet my life on the production instructing Flavor Flav to keep her around because they thought she would make the best ratings.
Edit: Was Run's House the one where they'd start every episode in a bubble bath writing church sermons and quoting bible verses? If so, I never cared for that show and found it boring.
