Bullshit! These assholes have plenty of money to turn on the dark fiber out there and trench new cable if they just took the money they use lobbying and used that. They've been pulling this shit since forever. Here's just some recent history of their fuckery.

ISPs should be local utilities.

Yeah but consider this... they'd make less profit. So, you see your point is not valid to them. They are entitled to their level of profit and if anything endangers that then you simply need to charge more money.

This could have been avoided somewhat. ISPs abandon working equipment all of the time. At the moment i have a few routers and other goodies from windstream and lumen that they didn’t want back.

This is often done when a community starts up their own ISP. Lookup Municipal Fiber Rollout.

Time for lean refined code!

Oh wait... AI is writing slop code, increasing memory consumption possibly, and that's what we need more RAM for. Wait what?

We are so fucked.

When Revolution comes, Altman and his ilk will be one of the first to go down along with the Trumpists that prop up their enterprise!

Yoke fiber won't ever happen. Not to normal wage earning areas. We been promised this from att forever in our area but if it's not a wealthy suburb or a majority wyt neighborhood, forget it
