Selling the rights to public infrastructure is hot business these days.

Texas has toll roads that were built with public money that were owned from inception by private companies. One of which they had to buy back for a huge premium because they jacked the tolls up.

Chicago parking meters are owned by a hedge fund, local water companies are being sold to private companies all over the nation.

It's a great business model, bribe once and collect fees for 100 years. It's basically like how kings would sell the right to tax areas to the highest bidder.

I would be okay with this dipshit owning the bridge only if he was forced to live below it

[–] Rom@hexbear.net 24 points 2 days ago

The owners of the bridge have fought against the opening of the Gordie Howe bridge because they argued, based on a 100-year-old document, that they have the exclusive "right" to collect tolls at this border crossing.

And remember. You are somehow the elitist for mocking these bipedal pigs in suits doing pig shit.

I cannot stress enough how much of a radicalizing factor for me going to the left is just how little faith I have in others, especially the more fortunate.

They are adult toddlers and if they had recreational McNukes, half of the world would be blown up because “well…it’s MY nukes, I have the freedom to do whatever I want!”
