I make my own "cowboy coffee chew".

Mix together instant coffee, sugar, and powdered non-dairy creamer, then knead in just enough honey so that it makes a solid mass about the consistency of Play-Doh.

You use it like chewing tobacco, just stick a pinch between your cheek and gum. Unlike tobacco, there's no need to spit, you can swallow the juice.

Thats unhinged, I'm trying that

Uh, coffee milk is a thing. Why is this in any way shocking to anyone?

I do this every day... It's nice. More milk in my coffee.

How do you get the instant coffee to dissolve?

[–] Sivecano@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It dissolves alright. Some stirring, some waiting

Sounds like it requires patience I don’t have if I’m using instant coffee. However, iced instant coffee is really good so maybe I will just try harder next time I’ve got cold milk bee gamer angry emoji

if you set it up (put it in a cup) then have the rest of your breakfast first and then have it last, that's usually enough time for the coffee to dissolve. (Or if you prepare before taking your morning shower)

But does the cold milk then become room temp? Maybe it’s the brand of instant coffee I use, it’s more like granules than powder.

I mean, the cold milk will stay plenty cold (maybe it helps that I use a cup)

When the coffee machine is out at work I eat the beans. Then my coworkers look at me strangely.

They're pretty good honestly! I get chocolate covered espresso beans and they're awesome.

I love these.

If it works, it works.

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

That's nothing. Take a mouthful of instant coffee and wash it down with a gulp of milk.

[–] ShyFae@piefed.blahaj.zone 4 points 3 days ago

I would do this too. Often would microwave the milk a bit to warm it up, mixes better so isn't lumpy. Maybe add some hot chocolate mix and cinnamon if I was feeling fancy.
