Welcome to General Memes

Memes for the masses, chuckles for the chosen.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not CruelWe’re here for laughs, not fights.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Keep it light — argue in the comments, not with insults

Rule 2: No Forbidden FormatsNot every image deserves immortality on the memmlefield. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content (seriously, don’t ruin the fun)
  • NSFW memes must be properly tagged

If you see a post that breaks the rules, report it so the mods can take care of it.

Oh I learned something today thank you, and right at the buzzer too, was about to be a day of decay! Serious question though, is seaweed algae? Guess it is.

Let's take a phycology class to find out! Give us a whole bunch of learning days, too.

According to online, yes, seaweed is a type of algae.

I love it when stupid people are confidently wrong. Not really.

In somewhat defense of the 'stupid persons', the first post says "phycHologist"

That's just a latin gangster who studies algae

If you ever have the opportunity, take phycology. It was by far the most interesting course I took in both undergrad and grad. It's a class that really blows up n the gates to how myopic the focus on only animals and plants as being "how life does it's thing", with the vast majority of people not really understanding plants whatsoever.

Also I hope you like thin sectioning.

When I read the correction, I was like, "haha, she accidentally called herself... Study of... Mold or something? I dunno, a mildew scientist or something." And then she explained the joke. With all the context in the world, it still whooshed right over me.
