When I first saw a tweet about the Bash Reference Manual being part of Epstein files, I simply thought of it as a joke.

And then there were more tweets. As a Linux user and an open source enthusiast, I was curious and I had to find out if there was any truth in it.

The truth is that indeed Bash Reference Manual is part of the Epstein Files released by the U.S. Department of Justice. You can access it here.

NOTHING IS SAFE LMFAO

Are they just dumping stuff into the Epstein files, hoping that it will artificially bloat its size and scare of potential readers? "OMG, 3 million pages? There's no way I'm reading that".

Wouldn't that be like an obstruction of justice?

No, they have been ordered to release all the files arising from activities related to Epstein. Relevance to criminal activity was not a criteria. So if they cloned a storage device he had a Bash manual on, a Bash manual must be released.

At some point I saw images posted on what was supposedly Epsteins server setup, and given the disgusting shit they were up to it’s not even a little surprising he would keep it on hardware he fully controls. So of course there will be some technical documentation in there.

At the same time I’m kind of shocked how much of these emails happens on seemingly regular @gmail.com or @yahoo.com addresses.

So much for Snowden's revelations about PRISM. All that digital surveilance and yet they don't catch the pedos and traffickers with it. Curious.

Or maybe not so curious...

Well yeah, he's probably on a filterlist at NSA so his emails were not logged.

Same thing happened to the Labour adjustments to the review on dragnet surveilance in the UK. They just added "Union members can't be tracked" instead of fucking doing something decent.

And we're seeing how the current Labour party in power is behaving regarding this; by having had Peter "Epstein is my great friend" Mandelson in positions of power until people started to care too much.

@okwhateverdude @SirHaxalot The billionaires have the whole surveillance thing in their pockets. I mean the whole shebang, Five Eyes and everything.

I knew there was a reason I avoided the Bash manual

[–] khleedril@cyberplace.social 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

@FauxLiving @cm0002 It is actually one of the best things you can read. That and the #Rust book.

[–] FauxLiving@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

The #Rust book was found to have been Ye's inner circle

He was working on a new shell called pedo-shell

It has useful features like

Pedo-shell -DJT

And it give you a qoute "ive never known Epstein" or "i was an inside agent"

Very useful /S
