I’m missing the joke here…?

[–] Sunsofold@lemmings.world 5 points 2 months ago

The world is mocking him by saying it's impossible that he could ever find someone to date him. It's cruel, but a common joke.

Haha, someone under 60 still on Facebook? And then Facebook actually moderating lies spread on its platform? That is a silly thought. Well done, comic person.

Hilarious

Dunno why people are struggling with the jokes

Can you explain the joke for those who don't get it (not me, I totally get it and think it's very funny)

[–] morphballganon@lemmy.world 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

The first part is that this guy is so undesireable that nobody believes anyone would want him

The second part is that people blame current events on anything they can to avoid admitting the real problem

Oh, guess those people (again, totally not me) were over-thinking it due to the political references. I'm sure they appreciate the explanation.

It's okay. You can tell them you were asking for me.

Is the joke it's illegal to not be single?

Black Mirror like serious business!

Apparently the comic creator doesn't know there's a comedian named "Josh Johnson" and I think that's funny.

It’s one of the most generic names you could have.

Fair. I just chuckled at it. Don't know why that's a problem.
