Some countries and schools require a TEFL certificate or prefer candidates with an associate's degree depending on the position, but if you want to teach English, all you need is to be a fluent English speaker.

It certainly does have that reused/muddled cooking oil taste.
Nice. Tofu is one of those things that hardly ever inspires me to cook but sounds/looks delicious when I see it somewhere else. Any idea what the pepper is that comes with them? Is it meant to be eaten with them or is it a garnish or aromatic thing?
Ha, I'm the exact same way. I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've deliberately bought and cooked with tofu, but I always love a tofu dish and especially when it's something fun or snack-like. I've probably eaten similar snack tofus hundreds of times in China and other countries although this one is unique in how crunchy it is and how thick the crust is.
The chilis are meant to be eaten at your discretion. They are spicy little things and look like the same chili I've seen local restaurants use to make sambal here, much smaller than chili peppers I'm used to seeing. They appear to be birds-eye chili pepper.

They do have a certain freshness I don't normally associate with chilis and seem to serve the same cut-through-the-oil function that sides of vinegar often serve as in other cultures.
