Fun fact about bullets in your brain:
In 1988, a 19-year-old suffering from severe, crippling Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head with a .22-caliber rifle. The bullet lodged in his left frontal lobe. He survived, and the bullet fragments acted as a form of highly targeted, accidental surgery, destroying the exact brain circuit driving his compulsions. His OCD was completely cured, and he went on to live a normal life.
