Hello dear fellow Linux users.

First of all, I want to say that I've been using Fedora, amongst other distros, for a long time, and that, after hopping from a distro to another, I filnally chose to use Fedora KDE Edition that I really like, the second one being OpenSuse Tumbleweed but for some software compatibilities matters, I kept using Fedora. The fact that it is sponsored by such companies like IBM garantees the strength of this distro, though it may introduce independence issues...

As a European user, I'm puzzled with US politics nowadays and wonder if using Fedora is as secure as using a european distro. I know it's FOSS, so it may not be a problem, but who knows? The second question being about EU soveraignity... Wouldn't using an european distro be a better choice?

What do you think about that and my questions?

Once again, I'm not trying to troll anyone nor Fedora that I really like, I'm only puzzled...

Thank you for your answers.
