Hi there,

I try to use CoMaps instead of Google Maps in Android Auto, but it is really laggy. The map jumps every 1-2 sec forward instead of moving constantly.

Is this a known issue or is it a problem with my phone?

Is it like that normally inside the app too or only when using it with android auto?

Because it seems to be a general issue unrelated to android auto https://codeberg.org/comaps/comaps/issues/1391
You probably only notice it while driving because you move across the map more quickly.

Try to enable or disable "Google Fused Location" in the app's settings. I use microg and I had to disable it even though microg correctly spoofs my network location in other apps.

I am using Version 2026.01.08-11-Google.

And it is really only CoMaps. With Google Maps and HereWeGo navigation is buttery smooth.

It's also stuttering if I do the navigation on the phone.

There should be an app update coming tomorrow or so with a potential fix - although it is difficult to debug these location issues, so it is possible that it doesn't change anything in your case

Thanks for the information, fingers crossed. All other apps are working fine, so it should be an app issue and not related to my location in general.
