Ha, I forgot about the white house demolition.

I mean, the physical one.

I like it when he destroys america. I wish he would stay there.

I don't like it when people cheer for human suffering. I wish they'd grow up

Okay but like you do understand America is one of the leading causes of human suffering on Earth, right?

Agreed, to an extent. (and thanks for your good work, mate; love it)
Unfortunately, the global high-tech, capitalist network of nations was likely always going to do that as a whole, USA or no USA.

It really is astonishing how we borked things up so very badly in a mere ~200yrs.

In my experience, republican constituents don’t react as if he’s just trolling, like in this comic strip. They love any idea he has and go along with it. Wearing hats that say GULF OF AMERICA, as if that’s something we all always wanted.

So the diehards right now are saying ”yeah, we need Greenland for security reasons!”

The more I learn and think about it, the more I conclude that over the years, we Americans just bought too damn much in to our own mythology and general BS, such as American exceptionalism, America being 'automatically great,' and democracy being a birthright.

We came to think that we were 'special' and 'bullet-proof' in a sense, not unlike how peoples of earlier nations and civilisations made that same, fatal mistake. Finally, we are now seeing the brutally ugly results of what happens when a people get drunk on their flatulence. So to speak.

And in the end he hasn't... But not because he didn't wanted to do it.

[–] NightFantom@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 months ago (2 children)

What end are you referring to? Did trump die or was he otherwise rendered powerless?

He has backed off of the Greenland stuff. He went to Davos and not only looked stupid in front of the world "elites" but they also told him, "LOL, no Greenland 4 U. Fuck off!" They started cashing in US Treasury bonds, which caused the US dollar to slip and stock markets to go down. Money is the only thing that gets his attention, so he has cooled down on the Greenland talk... for now.

Edit: after reading your post I realize you were commenting about the use of "end." You are right. This Greenland fiasco may not be over, or may come back later. Who knows what this narcissistic chaos clown may decide tomorrow.

Not powerless but scared enough for his investments... At least for now.

But yesterday I heard a doctor explain that he only has a few months to live so...
