White House posts digitally altered image of woman arrested after ICE protest

Somehow this little lie feels worse than many of the big ones. This and the way they have been using whitehouse.gov as a direct and overt propaganda mouthpiece for a while now. They're not even pretending to be truthful or to make explanations for themselves. They already believe that they are untouchable and that they can wield the tools of the government as they please in order to create the reality that they want.
We may feel as though we're just fighting the rise of fascism, but in their minds, they have already won.
