I'm not enough of a rube to believe what I hear about election results in Venezuela. I've seen the pants-pissing charade that the opposition party always puts on, and I've seen the signal boosting done by the US State Dept. I'm also aware that the PSUV has always invited and relied upon outside observers to validate their election results in advance of accusations of election fraud. In past years, finding the reports from these independent observers has been relatively easy to locate and cite - but I cannot find anything for the 2024 election. Can anybody link me to some info about what happened in the 2024 election? I'm also hearing left wing sources claim that Maduro lost the election, which, again I'm reticent to accept as true without evidence that isn't straight from the US State Dept.

Reject elections whatsoever. There cannot be meaningful elections under economic siege by the US. Until economic normalcy is restored in Venezuela by a total lack of sanctions, the previously democratically elected leaders (Bolivarian revolution) must go on. If a lib presses in this, bring up Zelenskyy and the fact that US + EU economic sanctions murder half a million people annually globally, far more than all wars combined. If they can understand the lack of elections in Ukraine, they can understand for Venezuela.

You're right, of course, but still I'd like to know details about what actually happened at the time
