It's a negative reaction to a perceived loss of agency.

What you have to understand is that the vast majority of Hexbear users are transsexual. It's actually the most LGBT instance, far more than Blahaj Zone. It's the only threadiverse instance to support the pronouns feature and that's because so many of our admin team are trans themselves. A lot of instances have accused us of being LGBT-phobic because of our critical support for Joseph Stalin, but the thing about CRITICAL support is we don't support everything he did, we just recognise that as a communist visionary who combined the ideologies of Marx and Lenin for the first time, he did more for the trans community than most people ever will.
