I think this whole fiasco will become an issue with the Republican stamp on it, when really both Obama and Biden were 'tough on Venezuela'

For example,

"Trump talks tough on Venezuela, but admires thugs and dictators like Nicolas Maduro," reads Biden's June 20, 2020, post on X, then known as Twitter. "As President, I will stand with the Venezuelan people and for democracy."

In January 2025, the Biden administration upped the bounty on Maduro to $25 million.

I would rather not let the Democrats off the hook for this one, so ITT we post their actions too.
