If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. Why build for a country that doesn't pay its citizens enough to afford your cars?
That's not the problem. Ford sells 50 and $70k pickup trucks all day but the buyers of those vehicles are part of a tribe that's tribally opposed to clean vehicles.
That is because The Govs. give huge tax rebates & Etc. programs to lower the costs to consumers.
Remember economics out ways everything else, if they could not afford them, they would not buy them.

They absolutely can and do. There are entire industries based on this. They sent the entire world into a recession ~20 years ago.
Wait a sec. are you asking are not Electric powered Trucks/Pickups not covered by the same rebate & Etc. Govs.’ programs for Trucks/Pickups? Well, if you are, you be frustrated to know, only gas powered trucks/pickups qualify!
No, credit only goes so far. So no, they do not. Whole truck industry yes, propped-up by those programs.
The pickup truck buyers absolutely did not do that! Is was a HOUSING CRISES, illegal, like con artist, claims of owning people’s homes, illegal mortgages & Etc. practices still never dealt with, but during it The Dem. ‘90+% Capitalist’ Party & USA President Obama & his administration worked with Wall Street Vikings (thought about using pirates, but they were better than both, they had something like COOP before COOP; I am 100% sure The Rep. ‘Crazy Capitalist’ Party was also on board) like Mr. Diamond to illegally steal people’s houses, instead helping the people fight the illegal taking of their houses/survive!

I did not need to look it up, it is on The Internet, mentioned on ‘Free Speech’ program years ago (they only option from the past, but you could call a political show), in commercials & when one goes to buy a pickup, from a dealer- I have only owned used automobiles. Since you do, & there all those resources you can easily do the work!

Remember actions and words do not match here. Many of those people are happy to verbally say the support clean vehicles and such. However they are buying big trucks with big engines. They will vote for someone who says "get the oil company", but if gas prices actually go up they will vote for someone else (and the people they vote for know it and so in turn say kill the oil companies, but when the oil companies want something the get it)
Its okay, when gasoline is no longer affordable there will be lots of non-ford options.

It is not the people not wanting EVs or conversions of gas powered automobiles to Solar Powered Automobiles, it is The Govs. ignorant interference, especially ‘The Crazy Don’.
The other problem is not just having EVs, but what provides the Electricity they arepowered on. Nuclear Energy providing the Electricity is still not good enough. That is why The Govs. should be making available EVs be only the ones that have solar panels build into the skins of the EVs. Just as The USA is so far behind the times in not setting a extremely close date where also (see previous sentence) gas powered & hybrid automobiles are not sold in The USA!
The ‘Global Warming’ & the rest of environmental issues are a danger to All Living Earth & All Living Beings & it is not going wait for our species to make even more sick profits, for The Rich-Super Rich Economic Classes/Owners!
