there are multiple ways to stop it. the fastest is to keep removing ppl at the top who think this is acceptable. trickle down reform, if you will.

people have been doing this through the democrats for the last half century and here we are; both the republicans and democrats are pro-genocide and pro-gestapo.

you've never seen people push other to vote for the lesser evil in the hopes that the democrats will shift their platform away from these conservative principals?

the only way you could have not have heard it is if you're maga or you're not american.

that's just not even close to what i mean by "remove"

revolution is the only way you can forcibly remove people from power.

[–] lurch@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

that's a lot closer to what i mean by remove, but i don't want to go into detail, as i prefer not to incite violence.

westerner's are propagandized into believing that non-violence is the only viable path to change and are adamantly opposed to self introspection in this regard; there will little to no support for a forced change.

but i'm a westerner, too.

our education makes us see non-violence as an ideal, but we know there are other options. we do not consider those usually, because they are a waste of resources. a persons life or health is considered a very expensive loss. but unusual problems can require unusual solutions.

All that was actually necessary was to have enough private-investigators getting evidence of the crimes committed by the electorate-types, & hiring good criminal-circuit lawyers to prosecute, because the establishment protects, not prosecutes, its own corruptions/crimes.

Get the rot culled, & that, itself, would have fundamentally changed "politics".

The passivity of just allowing the establishment to .. nudge nudge, wink, wink, say-no-more, say-no-more .. "make itself accountable" .. was inherently moronic, inherently suicidal-incompetence.

Having the judiciary be a "separate" part of gov't isn't good enough: Journalism ( with a capital-J ) & Science both need to be part of the accountability-regime, & they need to be separate-enough from the electorate that they routinely prosecute establishment-corruptions.

Separate, not "separate".

The clowns rampaging the US's gov't now shouldn't have been able to do what they're doing: the systems protections against that should have culled their means, before they even got going.

Prevent DarkTriad { narcissism / machiavellianism / sociopathy-psychopathy } from being able to be elected.

Etc.

But having independents getting criminal-convictions on the corrupt power-greeding-ones AND having corrption-conviction-prevents-election-eligibility laws .. would have cut-down the cancer that the US has now got.

No matter: once dictatorship's instantiated, & ICE has got its incinerators being built, then the "we're not responsible" people who wielded their authority through intentional inaction, to make this all happen .. will be caught in consequences: a whole-continent "mass shooting".

Learning may happen..

maybe..
