Missed the full Supermoon the day earlier, this was taken on 4.1.26 and I’m pretty satisfied with the detail out of it.

I was wondering if the moon seemed bigger than usual when I took a picture a few days ago...
Seems like I wasnt wrong

I also noticed it, but it looks like in November and December was actually bigger. It will become smaller and smaller. Next full moon Perigee (shortest distance) will be on 24/12/2026 (source).

Camera: Canon EOS R6 Mark II

Shot on a tripod: 800mm 1/200s F10 ISO100

Sharpest RAW image of a few RAW processed in Nitro (curves, sharpen, crop)

White balance set to Daylight: do you have opinions on how to set it for the moon? I like it a bit warm, as it’s sunlit, but we perceive it more neutral white with our eyes maybe?

Great photo!
No loss about the Supermoon, partial night-side moon pics are way more interesting!

I like the crescent moons even more.
Sort of like the dreamworks intro :)

Thanks :) Nice, but I want a full lit round moon at least one time! Will closely monitor the next phases and the sky.
