I didn't see anyone else volunteering.

Everyone always wants to criticize the one person willing to step up and do the work while they sit back and criticize their performance.

The fact is that most DMs are in a situation like this. And though critical role may have convinced you differently, most have very little idea what they are doing and go out on a limb for their friends the try this very demanding and largely thankless job.

It's fine for polygon to criticize the show, but cut a fictional high schooler some slack. I saw a happy group of friends at the end, that's a job well done.

Mike is supposed to be "bad", or at least, not Matt Mercer, professional levels. He's a high schooler who sits down in his basement with friends to have fun and make memories. Imagine being a professional writer and missing that glaring ass point.
