Welcome to a Star Trek community where you’re free to chat and share your opinions about all things Trek!

I want to have a place where fans can come to praise, discuss, and even criticise things in the Star Trek franchise. No show or movie is perfect, and I don't believe people should be silenced for having a dissenting opinion. That being said, there are still a few rules.

Be Nice - No personal attacks. You can disagree with someone's opinion, but it needs to stop there.

No Slurs - This is applicable to ethnicity, religion, gender, or anything else.

No Adult Content - Keep it family friendly.

No Spamming or Trolling - Consistently spamming comments or trolling is just not needed.

Keep Topics Trek Related - This is a Star Trek community, so of course discussion should stay in that area! That means no real world politics.

I'm giving Prodigy a chance. It's surprisingly good for a kids show. The protagonist is being a brat, at least in the first few episodes, but that's easy to ignore, and Janeway was a nice (and welcome) surprise. The Kobayashi episode teared me up a bit, it was a really nice tribute. And I did laugh out loud at the bit with Janeway drinking tea - the sheer audacity!

I'm halfway through season one, so no idea whether the quality holds. But no regrets so far.

It seems a good many people really enjoyed Prodigy, it's too bad they didn't get more seasons.

This week it was a few random DS9 episodes! I'm thinking of starting into Enterprise, but most of my recent watch time has been old sci-fi movies.

I received the Enterprise D lego set for christmas, so I watched all the TNG era movies while I built it. Very nostalgic.

Nice! Is it a pretty decent set? I liked all the BlueBrixx sets I bought. I guess I'll see if Lego makes anything I want!

Got the bug to rewatch the TNG movies after rewatching the show. They really pushed the IP out of its comfort zone with those movies it feels like. Like sure there was mass death and body horror in the show itself but the movies made it feel much more real and visceral not just shaking the camera and having everyone stumble about in a cardboard set.

Little sidebar for the show too. For a show thats 35 years old its surprising how well some of the social development episodes hold up. Like for example "The Outcast" the one about a androgynous species where some start to have a preference the speech Soran gives at her inquisition is powerful and perfectly topical to today. On the other hand "Journeys End" the one with Native Americans is reeeealllly rough to watch nowadays

I felt the same way about the movies, and also some of the TOS movies. I've always thought Trek worked much better as a show.

Caught up with SNW and watched the season 3 finale last night. The plot was a bit rushed, but I found it surprisingly moving.

It definitely did feel a little rushed, the whole season seemed a little uneven unfortunately. Some good moments throughout though!
