Would really appreciate something in the post titles to indicate when it’s a video rather than a text article. Something like [video] appended.

Agree and just please don't post video unless there's a good reason for the format. This would be much better as a text. If you are posting about Florida man wrestling an escaped mutated lizard while naked, yeah, post the damn footage, otherwise text is faster, more succinct, and lower bandwidth.

Can we even trust the numbers from the CDC anymore?
We can trust that it’s far worse than what they’ll admit
Can we trust CBS?
Mama can I trust the government?
When it doesn't fit their narratives, yes.
And when it does fit their narratives, we can still check who was involved in the work and what incentives they were under.
No, but you can cross-reference it with flu rates in other regions. Numbers are skyrocketing globally this year. Europe is seeing some of the worst numbers since pre-Covid.
The people doing the actual work for the cdc are trustworthy. It's their mouthpieces that are corrupted.
they also test shit water and yeah lots of flu in the poo
I was saying weeks ago that this was going to be a bad flu season in the US, because flu cases in China , Japan , Canada and the UK were all skyrocketing.
And three weeks ago WHO said
Although global activity remains within expected seasonal ranges, early increases and higher activity than typical at this time of year have been observed in some regions. [...] Since August 2025, there has been a rapid increase of [new variant] viruses detected from several countries
So even if you don't trust the CDC (and I would argue that you might not be able to trust the heads of CDC and FDA but most of the workers believe in their public health missions), it's well within plausibility that flu cases are skyrocketing across the US.
Normally, this is where I'd be like: "I'll be okay. I got vaxxed."
But since so many no longer do, my vaxx doesn't do as much for me as it would. Dammit.
