This is me with wearing new clothes. My wife knows my tastes, she always gets me clothes I love. But it can take me up to a few months sometimes to start working them into my rotation. I don't know why. I already know I like the new shirt, but the ones I'm already used to won't make way for a while
I always find I don't like things when they're at peak hype and everyone else is gushing over them. I have to either get in there early, or wait until the hype dies down, otherwise I just turn off.
I have that same feeling with that fallout show, I love the games and I bet id watch every episode but I have something keeping me away

Sometimes I'm just afraid something new will destroy my love for the thing
Like Dune, I've loved them books, but the old movies were just trash and I was really anxious about the new ones.
And shows I already know are given priority over new ones 😔
Also the more times thing is actively recommended, the further down the list it goes
Same on games to play with friends
I usually don't like to see much media because I don't like to feel negative emotions on base of the shows.
