How can I import GOG offline installers in Heroic while retaining the ability to get achievements? (sh.itjust.works)

Hi everyone!

Sadly when I'm trying to download games through Heroic, it appears as if the download limit was kind of limited to 0.5 Mbps which is way to slow when you have to download a game like Wolfenstein the New Order which has 40Gb of data.

For now I haven't found a way around this problem so I'm downloading the offline installers from GOG at around 3Mbps (which is way better). The problem is that I can't find a way to import them in Heroic on my Steam Deck.

By the way it's very important for me to retain the ability to get achievements (through Comet) as I'm addicted to these.

Could someone help me about importing these offline installers?

Also, I'll be happy to hear if someone knows a way to improve my download speeds through Heroic and get the ability to keep downloaded files when turning off my Deck as for now I'd have to start everything again if the game hasn't reached 100%?

How many download workers is Heroic Games Launcher set to be allowed to use?
Have you verified your actual download speed through any external monitor? The builtin counter doesn't seem very reliable.

Yeah I also found this on github and then tried to play with the workers (don’t what that is).

They were set to max and then I changed the numbers without seeing anything special..

Although I didn’t reboot between changes as Heroic never instructed me too..

Out of curiosity, does Heroic show download speed in Mbps or MBps? I don't know of any reason it would be significantly slower.

I think it’s MB/s and I ain’t sure about Firefox.

The thing is that downloading the offline installers allows me to not do it all at once as through Heroic I’d need so many hours and turning the Deck off makes me start from 0 again.

But I’d love to just download through Heroic😇

I think Firefox is probably showing Mb/s, which would at least suggest that both methods are downloading at the same speed. Any chance you can leave the deck on while it's downloading?

I checked and both Heroic and Firefox are using MB/s so at least the indicated speeds are different. Leaving the Deck on would be really annoying as it would mean not playing any other game at the same time, but I'll try downloading on another computer I can just leave turned on. I'll see how much time I need to download just one game. Apparently Wolfenstein would take under 5.5 hour according to Heroic..

I just think it's annoying that if you turn off your computer the download resumes from 0% on Heroic..
