Whenever I hear people posit that the US aggression against Venezuela is a distraction from the Epstien files, I can't help but think it's the other way around.
Whatever happens with the release of those files, the Capitalists don't have a lot to win or lose from that situation. If by some miracle Trump actually faces justice, he'll just be replaced by another puppet.
But with Venezuela, things can go really well or really badly for them. Venezuela's fate is the issue that capitalists have a significant stake in.
"Venezuela is a distraction from the Epstein Files!" is just liberals betraying the fact they're ignorant of all the previous attempts at regime change in Venezuela since Chavez took power. They think this is a Trump plot and not an American one.
Lib brain: you see, invading countries and stealing their resources isn't what capital really wants, it's for a few rich bastards to avoid even the threat of going to trial.

We have reached the period in the year in which time makes no sense. Everything feels more laid back (to me at least).
So the 2 Oil tankers that usa seized were Panamanian flagged and Panama has a treaty that says usa can board their ships with little notice in order to search for WMDs. So the ships had to stop because trump says fentanyl is a wmd and that Venezuela is a fentanyl exporter.
So the blockade was a bluff and he is using back channel legality to cover his ass. Its a flimflam.

happy holidays, everyone! i drew something yesterday cause i was doing mostly nothing at work
Every year The Netherlands has this music list between Christmas and New Year's of the 2000 best songs ever made. It's mostly 60-80s rock because the demograph of the radio station is suburban middle class boomer but it's still kinda fun.
They have a livestream of their cafe with people attending and it's hilarious. Centuries of Christian bullying to not behave too crazy and enthusiastic has caused white people to have 0 rhythm. It's just old people bopping up and down. Like Jesus man let yourself go for a bit.

Avatar is definitely a film franchise where the hate feels very performative. Whenever I see people who dislike them, they can't really articulate why. They just say vague statements like "The plot was bad" or "I can't remember anything". which really just means you weren't paying attention to start with.
