The GOP has the same view of the military as they do babies (aka potential future military).

They're the most precious thing in the world right up to the point of birth or signing an enlistment contract, whichever comes first.

Past that, you're on your own, to help them would be big gov socialism after all.

As if the VA has the manpower to eliminate anyone without making their service even worse than it already is.

Of course they do. This is to force the Veterans into community care so the health conglobates like UNC Health can get on the government tit. I know the VA is not funded by the defense budget but you would think that with a 900 billion dollar budget the DoD could spare a few pennies for the VA. It just show that the GOP and to some extent Congress does not really give two shits about vets once they leaver the service. Hell they don't really give a fuck about the troopers too but that is another story.
