If any of these companies actually cared about the harm they're doing, they wouldn't sound like they're giving an HR-prepared statement about how they're fixing stuff to avoid those 'unfortunate outcomes' or whatever the chatbot that ultimately wrote the statement chose to say.

They always come across as clinical and detached from the situation, as though they're just as surprised as anyone else. Golly, our bot did what?! Well we'll just get back in there and wrench on it a little more and in the future, we assure you far fewer suicides will be driven by our product. Have a nice day!
