Glad to see Ha-san (Big Sis). Isn't this her first appearance outside of Futami's flashbacks? For a mangaka, having someone buy both physical and electronics copies and giving it stars made them a goddess.

Because I liked this anime, I checked out the author's other works and picked up her shōgi manga a while ago. Tōko-sensei was from that manga, and I'm happy to see Amano-sensei (voiced by HanaKana no less) and Natsuki-sensei making an anime appearance.

Futami completely turned into a fangirl in front of Amano-sensei. It did not occur to me she was such a big shōgi fan before she started her manga, but it made total sense as writing a shōgi manga was her idea in the first place.

Futami's social media icon is her turning into jelly 😄

I'm always an episode late for these but I just wanted to say that this is perfect if you want a cosy slice of live anime about making art (manga in this case). (The yuri I somehow thought this had is basically non-existant, unfortunately, though.)
